New York News Reader II: $ 34.95
NewYork II, an online/offline news reader
for the Amiga, provides a simple to use, visually attractive news reading
environment which effecively balances ease-of-use with speed and power.
With the addition of features such as offline reading and posting plus
other new goodies, NewYork II surpasses even the critically aclaimed NewYork
as what we believe is the best newsreader on any platform!
NewYork II:
|
The newsgroup window: With the list of subscribed newsgroups
up at the top and the trademark speedbar in the middle, this setup means
buisness. Using our proportioning dragbar means that you always
have enough space to get the job done! |
|
The article window: New to NewYork II is the ability to re-size
the article list columns; if the subject is too long to read, simply drag
the "Subject" column wider! Again, with our proportioning dragbar (below
our trademark speedbar), you can vertically re-size the article index and
the article-reading window to the perfect proportions for your own personal
taste. |
|
Subscription Prefs: Have you been disappointed with the speed
of other Amiga newsreader's subscription prefs? NewYork II blows
them all away with the speed of it's folding "heirarchal" newsgroup listing.
Search for a group, add it to your personal list and off you go. |
|
Article Filter Prefs: We all know how annoying Usenet "SPAM"
can be. Almost annoying as that guy in Comp.Sys.Amiga.* .. well block them
both out forever with NewYork II's powerful filter. Screen out junk by
Subject, From, or Reply-To with the simple kill-file interface. |
|
General Prefs Area: Set up NewYork II the Amiga way,
with a simple central configuration window! How many apps today
have scores of windows littering your screen with debris? Not ours .. |
|
Offline Cache Config: If you like to read your news 'offline',
then you know fast the growing number of articles can fill your hard drive.
Our offline cache is trimmed and tamed to your liking, automatically. Tell
NewYork II how much to keep around, and it's all done for you! |
|
Posting Editor: Ok, so now it's time to speak .. erm .. type
your mind! The last thing you need is for the interface to get in
the way of your thoughts; what you need is an effortless means of sending
your ideas out to the 'Net and NewYork II's editor is that means!
New for version II is the ability to attach files to your articles and
cross-post to several groups at once. |
